National cluster cooperation to support the development of autonomous electric water buses.

Two seminars related to the development of autonomous water buses have been conducted early in 2019, Stavanger and Tønsberg. Following that a national collaboration project was initiated by the cluster organisations. More than 40 participants from industry, research institutes and public entities attended a workshop in Haugesund December 5^th exploring the different possibilities to cooperate across businesses in order to develop Norwegian export autonomous electric water buses. More than 20 initiatives related to city ferries and water buses have been identified in Norway.

The initiative is a collaboration between the SAMS clusters, Nordic Edge Smart City Cluster and NCE Maritime Cleantech. Several partners of SAMS Norway are active in the development of water buses across the country. Below is the enthusiastic group that participated in Haugesund. We thank Mayor Mohn for generous hosting in the beautiful City Hall. We continue to work on the project in 2020 and look forward to a strong and good cooperation nationally on urban mobility solutions.
